D-DAY

So its the first day down, what a way to begin our trip over here. Such a long day of travellin behind us, Delayed in Dublin airport for over an hour, typical id say, teh one time we need Aer Lingus to be on time and they end up worse than Ryanair, bbut luckily we mad our connecting flght in London to Delhi, but by a whisker, when we arrived at the gate they were all starting to board so it wasnt too bad, first half the flight was rough out and didnt sleep at all but once we got over the Dead see it all levelled ou and was smooth sailing to Delhi. ANd my god Delhi airport, we were stuck in a room with maybe 20 other ppl for 3 hours before we got our boarding card for our Kathmandu flight, when we aere actually allowed leave the Transit room we got into the departure lounge when we got some food into us. We got here last nite and got to our hotel fine, just to discover there was no1 else there except an Aussie guy, we all left and went walkin to bump into an english couple who showed us teh Shangri-la of Kathmandu, a hostel with everythin, includin actual real ppl, so off we went back to our hotel and gunned it out of there to our new home but not after gettin lost for 5 hours tryin to find our way back to collect our bags from the first hostel.Talk about places bein crazy, well this place doesn compare to anywhere at all, no road rules, no traffic light at all, cars whizzing by and almost in a car crash with a motorbike on some street today. But the drivers just laugh it off and smile as if nothing happened at all. Hmmm and seatbelts??? wat are seatbelts??The people are seriously friendly though, will help you with anythin u ask at all, no matter wat it is. But we did meet a random Indian guy today who told us he wasnt a guide or anythin but started briningin us around to all the Hindi temples and yeah they were amazin, will put photos up later on, but then it started to get a bit strange when he told us he was brinigin us to meet his wife in his house, eh i think not!! He started walkin and 2 minutes later we were in a shanti town gettin the strangest and weirdest looks and feelings from people so we cut our losses and got teh hell out of there, but before we did we managed to get some photos in his "house" and the shanti town, will throw them up later too. All in all a strange strange day to begin here, we are kept being told not to judge Nepal on Kathmandu alone so we cant wait to get down to the National Park and over into Pokara into the mountains.
